GETTING AROUND

Hawkshead Village Website

Travelling Around

By Car

Roads in parts of the Lake District can be narrower than visitors maybe used to. Travel carefully, and if not in a hurry show consideration to local traffic by pulling over to let vehicles by. Traffic flow outside the peak periods is low, and most of the main attractions/scenic sites are served by car parking.

Why not give the driver a rest and use public transport, or try one of our car free days.
